More than 30 years ago, husband and wife founders of Gordon Grau Scientific, Inc.—GGS, Dr. Barry Gordon Fookes (England) and Dr. Neddy Grau de Fookes (Venezuela), wishing to support research and scientific development in Latin America, they began a process of assisting universities, companies and scientists in the areas of Optical and Electron Microscopy, in which Dr. Fookes was an expert. For her part, Dr. Grau provided support and service in supplying companies and universities with the various chemical inputs that were required.

This is how, based on personal references and “word of mouth”, the company was consolidated, which today supplies hundreds of buyers, both in the United States and South America, especially in Venezuela, where the conditions have represented a greater challenge.
Unfortunately, Dr. Fookes passed away a few years ago, so Neddy has continued the work of consulting and supplying inputs to the chemical, pharmaceutical and related industries, based on his Doctorate (PhD) in Chemistry from Brunel University, London , England.
